Midwest Charity Begins At Home could not deliver the outstanding Gala Dinner that it does each year without the support of its volunteers. The committee itself, has always been comprised of volunteers. A dedicated, dynamic team who donate their time in putting together Geraldton’s premier event through sponsor support.
Our Mitchell & Brown Gala Dinner requires the support of volunteers in setting up, front of house support, bar support (RSA) and clean-up support. This year’s Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday 7th November. We require assistance in setting up on 6th & 7th November 2015. We require front of house and bar staff from 5.30pm to 1:00am on 7th November and clean up assistance from 9am Sunday 8th November. We would welcome assistance in these areas.
If you are able to help in any capacity, we’d love to hear from you. Please complete the fields below and we will be in contact with you to discuss things further. Many thanks for considering being a volunteer of Midwest Charity Begins At Home, many hands make light work. For further information please contact us at
Volunteers are covered in the performance of volunteer tasks during the Gala Dinner preparations by insurance subject to the QBE Voluntary Workers Policy
This brand-new fundraising initiative will be an ongoing one in the Midwest and aims to be a win-win for everyone involved.
Midwest Charity Begins at Home Inc have created our own little ‘houses of love’ to collect your loose change.
The gorgeous little houses have been lovingly handcrafted by the wonderful team at MENSHED GERALDTON, with supplies from BUNNINGS, then hand painted by the talented AMANDA MIRRAGLIOTTA and finally finished off with stickers from the team at KICK SOLUTIONS. A truly local project!
When the loose change builds up in your 'house', we will turn that change into a voucher for your store and distribute the voucher to our recipients to spread a bit of love and joy through their hardship. If your business is not suited to vouchers, the houses can be used as a coin collection point.
We will arrange delivery, collection, distribution and payment.

CBH Grain Growers
Midwest Charity Begins at Home in conjunction with Ten Tigers – Grain Marketing Solutions are excited to announce a new grain donation program, exclusive to grain growers.
MCBAH is now a registered deliverable charity with CBH which means farmers can support the charity by donating all types of grain. The accumulated grain will then be sold to buyers by Ten Tigers, a Geraldton based grain marketing advisory service which has been working for WA grain growers since 2004.
Growers can donate grain directly via their CBH Loadnet account. There will also be an opportunity to join the grain donation program at the Gala Dinner on November 29th. Growers who register with the program have a chance to win a one year Grain Marketing Package, donated by Ten Tigers.
Chris Tonkin, Director of Ten Tigers says that grain donations are a valuable and simple way for local farmers to support Charity Begins at Home this harvest. “We are a locally owned and operated business, and are happy to be involved with this unique charity supporting Midwest families” said Chris.
President of Midwest Charity Begins at Home Inc, Chris Dobson said they were extremely excited to join forces with Ten Tigers on the project. “It’s fantastic to be able to provide an easy avenue for our grain growers to contribute to Midwest Charity Begins at Home because as a charity, we are here to support the whole Midwest region, including the farming communities.”
For more information on how you can be involved contact Ten Tigers on 9964 9905.
